This page explains how to use Online Video Downloader with the companion web tool and the desktop app.
1) Install & launch the desktop app
- Install the app from Microsoft Store.
- Open it and keep it running in the background.
- Choose your download folder in the app settings (if available).
2) Install the Web Tool
Go to Microsoft Store app. Your browser may show a permission prompt about connecting to an application.
Accept the prompt to allow the page to talk to the desktop app through a local connection (localhost).
3) Search or paste a link
- Use Search when supported (keywords).
- Or paste a direct URL for supported websites.
- Select a format/quality and start the download.

Tips
- If results look incomplete, try again after a few seconds (some websites respond slowly).
- Keep the desktop app open while using the web tool.
- If you change settings, refresh the web tool page.
